HELiCON - Integration into your infrastructure.

Within an enterprise as well as in cooperation with customers, partners and suppliers, the most diverse data-creating and data-gathering systems are used. These are, in particular, CAD, PDM and PPS/ERP systems as well as calculation programs and Microsoft Office applications. HELiCON provides appropriate interfaces for the linkage of these systems, which enables an effortless integration of HELiCON into your IT-infrastructure of your enterprise. By this means, all relevant product data can be extracted, consolidated and made available for the configuration process.

Data-creating systems

• CAD-System,
  Source system for product structures and 3-D models of individual product elements; target system for the fitting of a virtual configured product
• Calculation programs
  Enable the layout calculation for individual components during the configuration process
• MS Office applications
  Enable the preparation of quotations for configurated products

Data-Gathering systems

• PDM system
  Source system for technical product information, product structures, 3-D product models etc. A PDM system can also be used for the saving and managing of configured products and their administration within the configuration management.
• ERP system
  Source system for product-relevant and commercial information, such as prices, delivery dates, stock, etc.

Independent product data

For the exchange of data between various systems, XML-based script files are used which are automatically created by HELiCON at the end of a configuration. This independent, neutral file format can be used in an extremely flexible manner and enables a trouble-free communication (even offline) between all expert systems involved in the engineering process, such as CAD, PPS/ERP, CAE etc.
